ABOUT OUTER SPACE STORAGE CENTRE HELP

Our tips on packing will help you to make the most out of self-storage:

  • Plan how to use the storage unit so that things you need to access more are close to the door
  • Use sturdy packing boxes that won’t collapse
  • Pack the boxes as full as possible so that they won’t collapse (making sure you can still lift them)
  • Put heavy items into smaller boxes which are easier to lift
  • Write the contents of each box on the outside to make things easier to find
  • Use bubble wrap to protect anything fragile, including crockery, mirrors and pictures
  • If storing fridges or fridge freezers, leave the doors open for ventilation
  • Use wardrobe boxes with hangers for your clothes
  • Keep a note of everything you put into storage
